History - A detailed case history regarding your presenting complaint will be taken, along with a present & past medical history, family history, medications and lifestyle habits.

Assessment - Your osteopath will then assess through complete physical examination using hands-on technique in order to provide you with a conclusive diagnosis.

Treatment - A variety of techniques may be used (see ‘services’ for an outline of these techniques) to address the presenting complaint and the underlying cause.

Advice - Your osteopath will provide advice and take-home tools so that you can continue progressing in between appointments. This may include ergonomic advice, specific exercises, stretches, breathing techniques, lifestyle tips etc.

Avoid a full stomach immediately before the session. You can have a light meal at least an hour before the session. After heavy food, minimum of 3 hours required to receive treatment session.
Bring any paperwork or radiographic examinations (i.e. CT scans, x-rays, MRI’s, ultrasounds) pertaining to your health condition you may have.

You can have someone present throughout your consultation and treatment session.

There is no minimum age limit! You can take your baby to an osteopath from birth.
Birth is physically demanding for both mother and child, and an osteopathic visit during the first 6 weeks is a great way to spot any strains or restrictions. So we can identify and treat them before they become an major health issue.

Furthermore, osteopathy is a patient centred not disease centred approach and hence individualised. Therefore, all treatments will be different.

Depending on the nature of the problem, people typically note significant improvements within 1 to 3 visits.
In more severe cases, a more prolonged approach may be required.
Once you have achieved the goals of your treatment plan, we will formulate the maintenance strategy in order to keep you healthy and prevent the problems from occurring in the future.

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment you must provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a fee. This gives us a chance to give your appointment to others who need it.
